Pirates of the Caribbean!

Hi guys!:)

Today, I would love to share my impressions on the movie I've watched lately, which truly exceeded my expectations. The truth is I am not a zealous fan of Pirates of the Caribbean but my best friend is, and she gave me no other choice than to see it with her;) I did not regret it tho, even if the movie had been boring to me, I wouldn't have. To my astonishement, I was completely caught up in it! I was affraid that I would not understand the scenes correctly if they were related to the events from the previous installment. It turned out that to watch the newest one, you have to be acquainted with first three movies. I must admit that among all the movies concerning Pirates of the Caribbean which I've watched, the newest one is absolutely the best. The whole cast was flawless and I would like to point out that choosing Javier Bardem for the role of Capitan Salazar was indeed a great decision. Spanish words entangled in the conversations carried on in english, the accent with whom the actor pronunced Sparrow, it was very amusing! It was, undoubtedly, such a pleasure for me and my best friend to spot out the short spanish interpolations which appeared as soon as Javier Bardem was on the screen. He's unquestionally an amazing actor, I highly recommend you a movie called Mar adentro which is not only an incredible movie but also an irrefutable proof of his outstanding acting skills. Coming back to the Pirates of the Caribbean, it is really worth to be seen and if you are sceptical about it, just like I was, check it out yourself you will not be dissapointed!

Considering how the movie ends, I'm guessing that it will be the last installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean. I am not going to ruin the film to you by sharing it, so you don't have to be scared of spoilers here:) Moreover, if my presumptions have worried you, please do not be sad, these are, like I said, only presumptions. The production has lots of fans and enormous box office so if they invent some interesting plot, I am sure they will make another movie!:) That's all for today, if you would like to share your thoughts regarding Pirates of the Caribbean, please do it!:) Bye!:)

Flowers and their secret power

Hi guys!:)

Today's post is going to be pretty floral! Spring has started its annual mission and it is swiftly making nature come to life. I guess there is no such a creature that would not be eager for a few rays of sun. Personally, I love observing it slowly sinking below the horizon, painting the sky red, gold and pink while the warm wind brings the scent of trees and flowers. It is unbelievably pleasant and it permits your exhausted from solving problems or carrying out duties mind to rest. As a person who was raised by two zealous nature lovers, I can approve it without any hesitation. You can easily calm your nerves by communing with it, focusing only on the sounds, smells and colours which constitue its essential part. In my post I would love to concentrate on flowers and the beauty they please us and animals with. What is really interesting is their language, secret meanings they were given by humans. The one I am interested in is Hanakotoba, the language of flowers which is the important element of Japanese culture. As far as I know Japaneses are shy and pretty secretive people who do not flaunt their feelings. The fear of being rejected is much stronger than the will to openly confess their love to the person they fell for. Flowers are such a great solution to the situations like those as no words are needed to be pronunced. As you can see, their role in Japanese communication is indeed enormous.

The language of flowers is used as well by writers who like hiding hints concerning true meanings of the particular elements of the story in seemingly insignificants objects. Readers are forced to make some effort to discover them and then connect the missing puzzles into one, coherent whole. Sometimes it can be unbelievably hard to the point it becomes annoying, but overall it is amusing and the pride of solving the mistery is irreplaceable:)
I guess in Europe people do not pay much attention to the language of flowers. I feel bad admitting this but I'm not the exception. I think the knowledge of their diverse meanings it's not widespread and very few Europeans is familiarized with them. It's sad because it is such an interesting phenomena, a part of many different cultures. It would be great to cultivate it but I am afraid it will be completely forgotten soon. That's all for today, if you would like to join the discussion, please leave the comment! Bye!

A best friend or a lover?

Hi guys!:)

It has been such a longtime since I last wrote a post and I am deeply sorry for it. The truth is I was ill during whole two weeks and the only thing I was able to do was sleeping and whining about my life. I am still fighting the remains of the flu, however, the duties are calling my name and I must carry them out properly. For today's post I've prepared a pretty interesting, short discussion about friendship and romantic relationship, two types of relation most of the people separate. It is such a popular belief that our lover cannot be our best friend. We intuitively put them in another category and I guess it is because of the intimate gestures certainly reserved only for romantic relationships. Well, it is unquestionably logical. We do not do that with people we consider our besties so the word best friend cannot be used in respect of a lover. I've come across lots of situations where one of the sides got mad at their lovers for calling them best friend. They reacted to it like to an insult. I observed that it is the hierarchy what always causes those arguments. A lover means more important, so if you call them a best friend you understate their value. That's a one big absurd which bothers me to no end. Why?

In my opinion, in dubbing you a best friend, your lover stresses that you are the person they truly treasure, whom their would not hesitate to share their secrets with, whom they would run to if their world crashed down, a person who would go through fire and water to save them if they needed it. Close friendship is certainly built on love, trust and strong attachement. Isn't it what makes you feel important? I am convinced that a lover should be, above all, someone who you could call your best friend. A person your heart considers soulmate. Personally, I long for that kind of relationship. I've also wondered that maybe the other reason why people get angry after being called best friend is that their lover avoided admitting they are in a romantic relationship. I guess they feel that their lover leaves the door open for other people to flirt with them. However, this particular feeling is caused by lack of trust so if you do not trust your lover, what is the point of being together? It just doesn't make sense to me.

That's all for today, if you would like to join the discussion, please leave a comment!:) Don't hesitate to share your thoughts or personal experience! Bye!:)

Celebrating The Earth Day!

Hello guys!:)

Today I would love to pay your attention to the yesterday's event, which was The Earth Day! This unquestionably beautiful celebration has been set up not only to praise nature and its creations but above all to teach people how to take care of the environment suffering from the constantly increasing pollution. During that day campaigns and marches are organised to inspire citizens to follow the most elementary ecological concepts which can make the planet healthier. Waste sorting, taking showers instead of long baths, turning off the light after leaving a room - these seemingly meaningless actions can make improve the poor state of the Earth. The main objectif is to educate the youngest citizens, affect them with love to nature and awake in children the sense of responsability for the planet. I'm convinced that Native Americans and their relationship with the environment, which I described in the previous post, can serve us as a model which we should adapt.

I guess the current state of our planet is the result of taking its every piece for granted for years. People take more and more, usurping everything which has a potential value, destroying what creates an obstacle on the path of realisating their plans. We are usually cruel and reckless in our actions, believing that we are permited to change the environment as we please. In my opinion it's important to celebrate The Earth Day because it reminds people that they should support and respect the planet. It also pushes us to change our attitudes towards nature and its creations and drop our sense of being masters of the world. Earth has been mistreated by people for years and it is high time to repay our depts.

If you participated in some festivals concerning The Earth Day, please share your impressions from it!:) Also do not hesitate to write your opinion in comments, I am always willing to listen to your remarks!:) That's all for today! Bye!:)

Being one with nature

Hello guys;)

Today I would love to make a short note about Native Americans or rather one particular aspect of their undoubtedly broad, colourful and diversified culture. Its small piece which I've been always admiring is their incredibly close contact with nature, their great respect towards its smallest creations. In my opinion, what is truly beautiful is the bond which Native Americans build with their surroundings, the mysterious spirit who permit them to communicate with its least pieces, without any obstacles. Those people have never ordered nature unlike us, the men of civilisation. We've broken all primordial rules being convinced that she is the one who should obey. Native Americans who lived in woods, let it live in them. They were a part of their own environment, the soil under their feet, the sun lightening up their faces, the wind lashing their long hair. Nature was their home, the one who took care of them, who taught them, who made them feel safe and free. They cooperated with it, never abusing its goods. What is also utterly astonishing is the relationship between Native Americans and animals. They never felt superior to the rest of the creatures, never underestimated their intelligence or strength, treating them with respect and learning lessons animals gave them. Those unusual ties is what made those people different among others.

I believe that the zeal with which Native Americans studied behaviour of residents of woods is unbelievable. It proves how good and patient observants they were. It's important to stress that animals constituted only a part of their interests. What fascinated them was the laws of nature, the ones who rule its existance. They looked carefully at weather and learnt how to cope with its quirks. What strongly connects with Native Americans's culture is the notion of spirit. They shaped not only their muscles but also spirit. They were fearless, untamed, proud, unstoppable. The last aspect which made them unusual is how they coped with pain. Of course they had their own methods but most of the time they counted on their minds using its power to fight the awful sensation caused by serious injuries or deep wounds.

Naturally, the culture of Native Americans is way more complex, I decided to present you only those aspects which I admire the most. If you would like to add some others to the list, please leave a comment! That's all for today! Bye!;)

To heal a broken soul

Hello guys!;)

Today I would love to share my personal sentiments of The shack, one of the most moving and beautifully made movies I have ever seen in my life. At the beginning, it is important to mark that the production is actually an adaptation of a book written by William Paul Young, which, undoubtedly, has stolen the hearts of many people all around the world. What makes it so unusual? you would ask. Undeniably, it is the way it struggles with two perennial questions: Where is God when people are suffering? and Why He does not prevent them? The answer it gave utterly astonished me just like its simplicity.

I have an impression that the book is, above all, dedicated to people who lost their trust in God, who believe He abandoned them when they needed Him the most, to those whose personal tragedies persuaded them that God does not love and care about His own creation as He lets it slowly lose itself in misery. If you are one of those people, The shack can drastically change your perception of God and soothe the pain constantly poisonning your wounded heart. Personally speaking, I will keep its incredibly moving story forever in my mind. So what is the book about?
At the beginning, we meet the main character, Mackenzie Phillips, a man whose youngest daughter, Missy, was kidnapped and then brutally murdered in an old shack, hidden deep down in the woods, a place him and his children had chosen for a family camping. 4 years later, Mack receives a mysterious letter, in which God invites him to the shack, the source of his darkest nightmares, to spend with him the whole weekend. This unusual meeting changes his life dramatically.
In my opinion, the book as well as its movie adaptation can strenghten your faith and learn you how to overcome hatred and spread love, the task your soul was created to do. I believe it really has a power to heal the interior, invisible wounds, to help people who feel lost, rebuild their bond with God. It raises their spirits by stressing that He is always by our side, whenever we cry or laugh. The author also touches a pretty sensitive subject which is forgiving the ones who hurt us. It presents it as a part of our own recovery which lets us put out a burning hatred that devours our heart.

I highly recommend you The shack and its movie adaptation which can really make you burst into tears and change positively your attitude towards God. If you read the book or watched the film please share your thoughts in the comments! That's all for today! Bye!;)

A painful memento

Welcome, welcome!:)

At the beginning I would like to apologize that it was no post last sunday. It is not that I simply brushed it off, absolutely not, I was pretty busy with my personal duties and I didn't have much time to collect my thoughts concerning an idea, which had appeared in my mind, and share them with you. I promise I will compensate you, my readers, for my negligence and I will make one extra post in the near future, to repair the messed up schedule.

So today I want to pay your attention to another, beautifully created, heartbreaking game which undoubtedly constitues a pearl among the others. It breaks all those outdated stereotypes spreaded by people who are convinced that this particular category of entertainment cannot be used to lofty aims, that it does not represent any value as its functionning is reduced to some thoughtless clicking. That dragon, cancer denies, with such ease, this awful theory. Why? The game is a collection of memories of Ryan and Amy Green, the parents whose 5-years-old son called Joel died due to cancer, who was diagnosed scarcely 12 months after his birth. It is a personal diary which lets you immerse into a heartaching struggle of two people who tried their best to, at least a little bit, sweeten the short, marked by pain, life of their lovely child. In the game you are put into different places where you interact with objects and Joel to reconstruct the memory while you are listenning to the parents interiour dilemmas and slowly meeting their personal thoughts, experiencing the emotions and fears they were forced to face, practically everyday. It is a sentimental journey where you can come across lots of touching letters, cards and voicemails dedicated to the Greens in which people, who'd been in the same or similar situation, show their support to the suffering family. The saddest, most overwhelming scenes are the ones where pain, sorrow and helplessness, the loyal companions of the parents, are presented in a pretty metaphorical way. There is a scene in which a doctor informs Ryan and Amy that the medical treatement did not bring the results they hoped for and it is, as they called it, a tragedy. After the horrible announcement, you can see the water slowly pouring through the windows into the room and you can hear the echo of the words which broke the parents hearts into pieces. In one moment, their world crashed, making them drown in their own tears. In the Internet you can easily find interviews where Ryan and Amy explain that the game was a part of long, healing process and that they hope it will help other parents in similiar situations cope with the pain and grief.

In my opinion it is one of the most beautiful and touching games I have ever seen which does not need any recommondation. If you are interested, please go and check it, it is worth to be seen. That's all for today! Bye!;)

A train of philosophical thoughts

Hello again guys!:)

Today's post might be a little bit odd to you as it does not resemble the previous ones as much. I hope that it will be as interesting to you as the others (my modesty is showing, isn't it? *shameful sigh*) and it will simply push you to share your own opinions and observations or some personal experience you've collected so far.
This post is going to be a set of interior, philosophical questions, most of which I leave without any answers given as I am looking for them myself. Those personal sentiments, which I would like to share with you, concern love and hatred, undoubtedly ones of the strongest feelings we, human beings, have ever experienced in our lives. The power which is hidden in their names is horrifying. Isn't it scary how many of us have subordinated to it obediently, without uttering a word of protest, carelessly, thoughtlessly? Isn't it scary how many of us have let them, consciously, snuck to our hearts and order us around? At the beginning of my monologue, I would like to pay your attention only to love as it is, unquestionally, a positive sensation lots of people crave for. I believe you all have noticed how quickly it resuscitates a broken heart after a dissapointement, how easily it persuades people to sacrifice, without a single thought, for their loved ones. Maybe you have witnessed how suddenly it made people fearless when the life of a person they loved were put at risk. It does it so naturally and no one can resist it. How is that possible that in one second it can chase away all your hesitations and give you the strength to fight like a lion, against all the odds, just to make that one person safe and sound? Love, the queen among the feelings. Nevertheless, there is something pretty worrying when it comes to love. A line which separates it from hatred, its opposition. 'A thin line' people say but is it really possible that in one minute love can turn into burning hatred? Is it possible to suddenly hate a person you loved with all your heart, just a moment ago? Or maybe it is people who mistake it with anger, which immediately sets everything on fire, erases all the precious memories, silences love and then lets hatred devour the heart. It is scary how it invades our mind, it is scary how quickly it stoles the keys, kept so carefully by love, and opens a cage to free our inner beast which wants nothing but destroy. People believe that only love can pit itself against hatred, only love can defeat it. I believe in that too. I guess only love can truly relieve the pain and heal a wounded heart. The question is how it actually does it? Oh, I guess it will always be a mistery for human beings.
That's all for today, I hope my personal thoughts have awaken your inner sentiments you would like to share with me!;) Bye!;)

Husk and its wise message about life

A warm hello to all of my dear, patient readers!;)

Without any unnecessary introductions, I would love to present you a game which in my opinion involves a pretty important issue and breaks an old, prevalent stereotype, made and spread thoughtlessly by our society. Husk is a new creation of a polish studio called UndeadScout, the people who were partially responsable for Kholat (which I highly recommend for those of you who love unconventional horror games with a gripping plot). So let's look attentively at the storyline which is hidden behind the title Husk. It concentrates on the man who sinks into a coma after a horrible rail accident. He is locked in a world crafted by his own mind, in a place which used to be his hometown. It is based on his childhood recollections, accompanied by monsters which symbolise his personal fears. During his journey, the man comes across objects and visits places constituting mementos which awake painful memories slowly revealing his sad past. It turns out that the father of our main character was an alcoholic and he mistreated him and his mother. We, the observers, are given a picture of a man who caused nothing but pain, who abused of his loved ones and, what's worse, he blamed them for his behaviour. Later, the man uncovers his own sins as the ghosts of the past and remorse are getting stronger. We see that even though he deeply hated his father for what he had done to him and his mom, he repeated his mistakes. He was, himself, an alcoholic who hit his wife, the women he loved with all his heart. As the story comes slowly to its end, the man recovers consciousness and finds out that his wife, after months of visiting him, decided to move on and leave him. While being in a coma and wandering around the world from the darkest nightmares he heard a chunks of long monologues his beloved said as she was sitting next to his hospital bed. She claimed that even though he had mistreated her she loved him but she is exhausted of it and wanted to free herself from him. In the last scene, the man admits that he truly deserved it and that it was his own choice to do exactly the same what he father did.
I believe it is an important lesson. I love that producers show that our past, other people, tragic events influence us but they do not determine us. Against the common belief, it is us who decide to what degree we permit our environement and particular events to modify our true self, to change our personality or attitude towards others. In the end of the day it is our choice which path we will choose to follow and what people we will become. The creators of the storyline should be praised for proving that statements like this one: 'I drink because my father drank' don't make sense because it is you who willingly inherited your parent's bad habit, it is you who willingly repeated your parent's mistakes. It is such a great, wise message about life which we should keep in our minds.

I highly recommend this game for those of you who love this kind of entertainment. The graphic is really pretty, maybe it is not a masterpiece but it truly deserves to be seen at least because of the incredible message it carries. That's all for today, if you have other opinion or want to add something new, please do it!;) Bye!;)

To understand a villain

Hi my dear readers!:)

It is so nice to welcome you after such a long break! I hope that you didn't lose your interest in my blog and you visited it occasionally to check if something new popped out. I am so sorry that I made you wait so horribly long for a next post, I hope this blank period didn't put you off and you are still there, ready to read and share your opinions!;)

Today I want to pay your attention to the creation of villains which are usually much more interesting and complex characters than heros (in the contest of good men, the opposite of wicked people in the plot). Firstly, I would like to point out that lots of book's, comic's or manga's readers sympathise more with villains than with any other hero in the story. I believe that this prohibited love for those considered as bad has its source in the fact that they are much more real to us than heros who are often perfect human beings without any flaws, who undoubtedly symbolise good and justice and their actions are always praised by other characters in the plot. Moreover, villains are such complicated creatures, whose personality and aims are usually wrong received by readers as they are presented as cold heart bastards who manipulate others, who destroy, who bring death with every step they take. So how is it possible that lot of people give their hearts to villains? Is it morally correct to love someone who's a bad person? Well, those are pretty difficult questions to answer. Personally I really appreciate those spectacular moments in the stories when the truth is revealed, when the author present the horrible past which influenced those considered as cruel and heartless, we can see the events which crashed them, damaged their true personality. Villains are like a shattered glass to me, they are usually people with wounded souls, the ones who live in constant pain looking for someone to rescue them, to understand. I really love stories where authors show you, after a pretty long time, that this person, this scary villain that you probably have hated so much since the very beginning, that he actually loved someone in his life as much as all those good heros you met earlier. Then they present you a period which illustrates his true self, his broken heart, the saddness that overwhelmed him, the tears and the emptiness which still devour him from the inside, the memories that still poison his thoughts. Afterwards, you sit there with a book in your hands and you feel this incredible heartache in your chest that you judged him wrong and you never asked him in your head: what is your story that you hide so carefully behind this mask? Of course bad past doesn't exculpate someone's bad actions, it doesn't allow a person to hurt others, not at all, but it can help to understand human's behaviour, to understand how does it happen that people change. Naturally this type of villains I've mentionned doesn't involve all of them, you can meet a pretty different ones as the story unfolds. I would say that this category is my favourite, that is a villain who's not a monster at heart, but man in pain, bearing with loneliness, fighting everyday with his own nightmares. In my post I do not want to convince you that heros are flat characters or that they are always the same, no, there is many great stories where their personality is amazingly built and whose past didn't spare them and even though it was bad they didn't let it affect their hearts. However, villains are, in my opinion, the odd ones out and much more interesting characters (at least from psychological point of view) and they require a deeper reflection to understand them.

I hope the issue I brought was interesting to you! If you have some objections or personal remarks please share!;) That's all for today! Bye!;)

The other side of commercials

Hi guys!:)
Today's post is going to be about advertisements. The first, the most elementary question is who among us likes when a commercial suddenly pops out on the screen interrupting the movie we are currently watching or when it appears out of the blue while we are reading something on a website? I guess nobody. Advertisements seem to be the biggest scourge of our times and a real plague in the Internet, you can come across them practically everywhere. However, there are commercials which, believe me or not, can capture your heart by the message they are carring. Those type of advertisements does not really promote any product but, above all, they appeal to our sensitivity or try to awake  it in us somehow. Some people may say that those commercials use this unquestioned manipulative strategy to simply grab our attention but in my opinion, it is not so obvious. Do they actually draw our attention? Yes, there is no doubt about it but in my opinion there are made to change a little bit our perception of the world or some common beliefs which are harmful towards some group of people. What I have in mind is for exemple commercials produced by Dove and Always companies, the ones people cannot see in the television. They usually present some adult women or young girls being asking questions which are made on purpose to break the stereotypes and convince the audience that being a female does not mean being weak, worse, less inteligent or that it does not determinate your position in the society, like what profession you should have or what your interests should be and that females can compete with men in everything. If you haven't seen those commercials, I really recommend you to check them out, they are worth spending time! Now, I would also like to make a short comment on the polish, christmas advertisement made by Allegro which moved the hearts of the people all around the world. It is about the old man who orders online a manual of english for beginners to learn the language and at the end of the commercial we find out what was the reason of him doing it. It is truly a masterpiece among the advertisements, incredibly touching and it reflects perfectly the reality we are living in. I do not want to spoil the commercial so those of you who didn't see it, can go and watch it:) It is all for today, see ya in the next post! Bye!:)

I got a faith in you babe!

Welcome in a brand new year guys!:)

I hope all of you spent this Christmas in the company of your loved ones and that the last day of 2016 went as you planned without any terrible, unexpected events. Today I would like to draw your attention to the new animated movie Sing, made by Illumination. It is pretty interesting production which really stands out from their previous ones and some of the statements said by its characters can easily move the coldest of hearts. Firstly, the animation is really pretty, the utilisation of neon lights and such a wide range of colours makes a beautiful effect! Since the music plays a crucial role in the movie, it accompanies you practically all the time, building an appropriate atmosphere of the scene. Now, the most important part which is the plot. So, the main character of Sing is a koala called Buster Moon, the owner of a theater who struggles with serious finance problems. One day the hero cames up with an idea of organising a singing competition which would attract audiance, bring the theater back to life and safe it from being taken over by bank. What is really interesting is that all the animals who passed positively the audition, deal with some problems in their own personal life and they hope to resolve them. The stongest side of the movie is undoubtedly the beautifully presented relationship between Buster and Eddie which could serve as a model of how the true friendship should look like. I also remember that there was a scene where the main character told Eddie what he is really scared of in his life and immediately my eyes welled up with tears and in that moment I thought 'me too'. I am not going to tell you what were Buster's words not to spoil the movie for those who haven't seen it yet but they are willing to watch it.
To sum up, I really recommend you this movie, it is such a great production! It is worth spending time and money so go and check it! Oh! and the title of the post is the lyrics of the song called 'Faith' made by Stevie Wonder and Ariana Grande which promotes the movie! It's all for today, see ya in the next post! Bye!:)

Love on ice!

Hi guys!:)

Today I would like to affect you with my growing love to Yuri on ice, an anime so sweet and pure it makes my heart melts everytime the new episode comes out. The story revolves around Yuri Katsuki, a Japanese young man whose great passion has been ice skating since early childhood. Our main character wants to accomplish his biggest dream which is to win first place in senior international figure skating competitions.
On the last Championships Yuri failed horribly, his performance was nothing but mistakes and missteps. The jury gave him so little points, he took the last place. Yuri, highly dissapointed with himself, completely lost the motivation and willingness to continue practicing skating. He was so pursued by the awful memory of his last performance, he abandoned the sport he loved so much. After few months Victor Nikiforov, the star of figure skating from Russia, saw in the Internet a video of Yuri's performance posted by one of his closest friends. It was the first time Yuri put on the ice skates since the memorable Championships. The video presented Yuri without cameras and audience, just a young man skating so freely and calmly, putting his whole heart in every move and figure he was making. Victor was absolutely astonished by Yuri's skills and on the next day he came to Japan to meet him and to become his coach. Yuri was incredibly flattered by Victor's proposition since the russian ice skater has always been his inspiration and role model. With Victor by his side, Yuri became much more motivated and once again he derived happiness from the sport he had treasured so much. What is really worth paying attention to is the way the relationship between those two men is presented in the anime. You can observe love slowly blooming between Yuri and Victor, so pure and sweet, full of cuddles and soft kisses.

I really recommend you to check out this anime! If you are a fan of figure skating you will be astonished how amazingly the performances are presented! The beautiful art of Yuri which you can see in the post belongs to Shiza, an incredible artist from tumblr! Please visit her blog *click here*! That's all for today! See you next time! Bye!:)

Praise the diversity!

Hello guys!:)
Since the world is slowly devouring by racism and hatred, it is important to protect and treasure the diversity. It's exactly what the creators of Overwatch do and it makes me really proud as a fan, it is undoubtedly one of the many reasons why this game is so worth loving. Michael Chu, the man responsable for lore and storyline in Overwatch, almost always stresses in interviews that the diversity plays a crucial role in the process of creating the identity of the characters in its expanded universe. However, to truly represent the diversity among the heroes, the simple information of their nationality is not enough. Michael Chu and Andrea Toyias wanted each character to speak in a way which would reflect its personality and which would be accompanied by a pretty particular accent which provides its origin. To achieve this incredibly ambitional goal, the creators chose the actors who met those requirements perfectly and whose cultural ancestry helped make the accents of the heroes natural. Michael Chu and Andrea Toyias didn't want the pronunciation to sound artificially or the characters to mock the accent of a particular nationality. The creators simply wanted them to sound real without following the cliché or any harmful stereotypes. What is even more interesting is that some of the heroes have a line in their native language! It's so amazing! Now I am going to present you some of the characters of Overwatch whose origins prove the diversity, one of the main characteristics of its universe:
  • Gabriel Reyes & Sombra
Sombra is a Mexican women whose spanish nickname means Shadow in english; she also says two or three lines in spanish. Gabriel is a highly respected veteran, one of the leaders of Overwatch organisation who probably has latin origins as well.
  • Hanzo & Genji Shimada
Two brothers who come from a fictional city called Hanamura placed in Japan. Both of them have several lines in their native language, which is naturally japanese.
  • Hana Song & Mei-Ling Zhou
The first hero is the youngest recruit of Overwatch of South Korean origin; her ultimate voice line is written in Korean. Second character is a climatologist whose motherland is China; the ultimate ability of Mei is accompanied by a line is her native language, chinese.
  • Angela Ziegler & Reinhardt Wilhelm
Angela is a support hero whose country of origin is Switzerland. Reinhardt is German, he's one of the original and longest serving memebers of Overwatch organisation.
  • Ana & Fareeha Amari
Mother and daughter, both of them are highly qualified soldiers who come from Egipt. In the game Ana says one line in her native language.
  • Jesse Mccree & Jack Morrison
The motherland of those two characters is USA. Jack grew up in rural Indiana, in the age of 18 he joined the military; he was the Strike Commander of Overwatch organisation. Jesse was one of the memebers of Deadlock Gang but later he became one of the best agents of Overwatch.
  • Lena Oxton & Amélie Lacroix
Lena is from The United Kingdom, her hometown is London. All of her voice lines are accompanied by british accent. Amélie is of French origins. She says several statements in her native language.
  • Aleksandra Zaryanova & Torbjörn Lindholm
Aleksandra is one of the highly qualified soldiers of russian army. Torbjörn is a genius engineer from Sweden who, just like Reinhardt, was one of the first memembers of Overwatch organisation.

As you can see the diversity is what, without any doubt, characterises Overwatch universe. I didn't mention all of the characters, so if you are curious and you want to see the rest of them, go and check the game!:) It's all for today, see ya in the next post! Bye!:)

The magic of fanfictions

Hi guys!
Today I would like to draw your attention to the stories written by ordinary people whose unbelievable writing skills can compete with those of professional writers. The stories which I want to focus on in the post are called fanfictions. What is the most interesting, when it comes to this type of drabbles, is the source of inspiration which pushes people to reach for a sheet of paper and let them get carried away by the imagination. One of those sources are undoubtedly the characters from particular books, movies or games who captured their heart. That unrestrained love, without any hesitation, makes their creativity blossom easily. You can notice that those non-professional writers put their whole heart into the story they want to share with others. What about the plot then? How is it actually built? To answer those two questions I will use one of the heros who belongs to the Overwatch universe, namely Jack Morrison. The most popular type of drabbles are the ones whose plot is based on the original storyline to which the writers add the elements which are fictional. For instance: they preserve in their own story the fact that Jack is one of the commanders of the organisation called Overwatch but they change the status of his relationship with one of the other characters, from best friends to lovers. Those writers usually make use of the holes in the original storyline, periodes in the timeline which are not presented yet by the creators of Overwatch universe. The other type of drabbles are those in which the authors preserve only the appearance and name of the original character. They cut the hero out of the original plot and place him in some alternative universe. For example: Jack Morrison is a single lecturer who works on the University where he meets the love of his life etc. In those stories the authors can let their imagination run wild and you as a reader can expect practically everything to happen.

Here you have Jack Morrison, my lovely example:)

I must admit that I really love reading fanfictions about the characters who are really close to my heart. There are writers whose stories leave you speechless while the tears are streaming down your cheeks, the short drabbles which sweetness and fluffness can cheer you up after having such a bad day. I really recommend those of you who love fictional characters to read those kind of stories! There are fanfiction which are really worth to be discovered!:) It's all for today! See ya in the next post!:)

The unquestioned beauty of the animations!

Hello again guys!:)
I want to dedicate my today's post to animation which belongs to one of my greatest passions. Please do not worry I am not going to annoy you with its history and origins which I guess would put off a lot of you immediately. My aim is to blow you away with its beauty, orginality and artistery. I am going to present you some screencaps of the animations which I highly appreciate and which I chose carefully to, not ruining such opportunity, illustrate you different ways of animating. You are going to see screencaps of beautiful 3D animations and 2D cartoon-like projects. Let's start!:)

The first screencap represents the absolutely stunning animation called The Last Bastion produced by Blizzard. For those who are not familiar with the project, it constitutes a small part of the Overwatch storyline which I commented in one of my latest posts. Now please look closer at the frame. Can you see how perfectly the nature is animated here? The realistic models of stones and trees (look at the ones whose blue figures looming in the background!), the water which softly reflects the objects placed next to it, the shadows lazily streching on the rocks, the pretty colours of the grass and sky which complete the whole scene. It's simply breathtaking. In my opinion the animators made such an amazing job, they undoubtly put their whole heart into it paying attention to the least elements to bring the nature to life, to make it looks real. Much love from me for it!:)

So my next screencap comes from the incredible piece of art, namely the animation called A New Dawn produced by Riot Games. By looking attentively at the picture placed above, you can observe the way our lovely character Ahri is animated. I am really sorry that it doesn't present the whole hero but I prefered to upload a screencap which would not let you miss the beauty of Arhi's blue eyes slowly welling up with tears, the raven hair which strands are softly sparkling in the sun, the dirt on her breast and cheeks and a little wounds placed on her lower lip and chin. What is really important in this scene and what I want you to pay attention to is the way those elements create character's facial expression. Personally speaking, the animation is so neatly made it permits you to feel the emotions of the hero. The hard work of the animators really deserves all the praises. Well done!:)

Next two screencaps represent the movie called Zootopia produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios which has one of the most beautiful animation I've ever seen. Naturally it must be a reason why I decided to present you those two particular scenes. Well, this time I want you to pay attention to the way the city and personificated animals are created. I guess it is one of the most detailed animations I've had a pleasure to watch. The animators of the Walt Disney company are, without any doubt, perfectionists:) Just look at the street, at all the least objects which the creators included to make it as close to the reality as possible. It's really incredible! Now, let me move to the characters. The thing that in my opinion is worth to pay attention to is the texture of the fur of the heros. It is such a shame I cannot show you a scene where both of them standing in the rain. You would notice how it goes wet and then dries in the sun just like the fur of the real animals. Big applause for all of the details!:)

Now, I would like to present you some screencaps of the 2D animations which are as beautiful as their 3D siblings. This frame comes from the work called Trois Petits Points produced by Gobelins. The thing that immediately caught my eye is the unbelievably original look of the animation that seems to be subordinated to the story the creators want to share. The one you see above is absolutely one of my favourites. What is really worth to pay attention to is a carefully chosen range of colours which match with the athmosphere of the story. In the animation you can also observe the important role of the lightening and dark and also music (!!) which accompanies you to the very end of the story. This project is truly outstanding and highly inspiring which proves the not dying beauty of traditional animation. Big plus for the incredible creativity and ingenuity of the people who were involved in the project!:)

The last two screencaps represent a really special type of the animation called anime. The frames come from the series called Naruto produced by Studio Pierrot. As you can see it's a cartoon-like animation which is highly populaire in Japan. What I consider important to punctuate here is that although the graphic looks like it is adressed mainly to children, a lot of them contain scenes that should not be seen by the little ones. In my opinion this animation is pretty remarkable, really easy to recognise which only proves its popularity all around the world. The main problem with its quality is that besides the well animated scenes the episodes are often filled with bad ones which you would love to remove from your memory. However, those who are well animated are truly beautiful as you can observe by looking at the ones I placed above the comment. The thing which I personally adore are the absolutely stunning colours. Good job!:)

Here you have links for the three of the animations which I used for presentation:
It's all for today, I hope the post was interesting for you guys! See ya next time! Bye!:)

To the Moon!

Hi my dear readers!:)

Today I would love to present you another video game which lately has broken my heart into pieces. Ladies and gentlemen, To the Moon. A beautiful story about what does it mean to love someone with all your heart, always, to love not minding the pain, to love someone to the point you smile although there are tears streaming down your cheeks... a story about grief and longing devouring you from the inside after the one you love is gone, the memories that poison your brain in the daylight and wake you up in the middle of the night. So, what's exactly the plot? It's a story about a man called Johnny Wyles who's dying, he has more or less two days left and he asked The Sigmund Corporation to accomplish his last wish which is to go to the moon. The corporation uses a high-technology that serves to create artificial memories which give dying people who, during their lifetime couldn't make their dreams come true, a chance to feel a sense of accomplishment. The employees of the corporation, Dr. Eva Rosalene and Dr. Neil Watts, are sent to meet his client's request. The problem is Johnny doesn't know the reason why he wants to go to the moon so badly. The doctors insert themselves into an interactive compilation of his memories and traverse backwards through his life to gather the important informations and attempt to awake his desire to go to the moon. While completing the task Rosalene and Watts learn more about Johnny, his past and the relationship with his wife River while looking for clues that would help them to solve the mistery. One of the most important elements of To the Moon is music that accompanies you on every step in the gameplay and which changes depending on the scene and its character. Almost whole music is composed on the piano which strengthens the emotions expressed by heros. To the Moon has also a simple, pixel graphic design which some of you may not like it but the truth is it is not what is the most important in this game (in my opinion it is still really pretty). I highly recommend you to check out this game with unbelievably touching ending which will definitely make you cry. It'a all for today! See ya in the next post! Bye!:)

Welcome to the Overwatch Universe!

Hello guys!:)
Today I want to present you a video game which plot astonished me, like literally left me speachless. I must admit that at the beginning I was really sceptical about it, the chucks of the game which I saw didn't impress me at all. I remember looking at it and murmuring to myself: 'just another shooter, nothing original' but (!) the truth is I didn't bother myself to go and check what that game really is about. Now when I recall what my thoughts were I am so ashamed of myself. My judgement was nothing but rough and unjust. I cannot believe how wrong I was. And what actually changed my poor point of view? The absolutely stunning animations, relationships between characters and the incredible plot that make Overwatch one of the best video games I have ever seen. I deeply studied the history which is presented inside the play and it really absorbed me. The concept is so interesting I would love to see a movie that would be based on it!

Now let me introduce you to the incredible world of Overwatch! (at least a bit:) The story is set about 60 years into the future of a fictionalized Earth, 30 years after the Omnic Crisis was prevented. Before the crisis the people lived in wealth, peacefully while the technology (the symbol of powerness of human's brain) was slowly reaching its peek. People achieved to create robots with artificial intelligence called Omnics which were produced world-wide in automated omnium services and also used to maintain economic equality. The problems began when the omniums released a series of agressive, dangerous robots that revolted against humans. The United Nations immediately set up an organisation called Overwatch, a group of people who had to protect the citizens, combat the Omnics and establish peace. However, after a several years of Overwatch maintaing public order, the conflicts inside and out of the organisation started to slowly devoring it. The scandals, allegations, the clash between its commanders and the outcry of citizens prompted The United Nations to dismiss Overwatch. After it the world plunged into chaos, the actes of terrorism were appearing in different countries. In that moment the first members of Overwatch decide to bring the organisation back to life, recruit new people and fight like in old times.

I highly recommend you to watch all of the animation clips (click to watch!) that were created by Overwatch team. All of them are little masterpieces that will help you to better understand the plot. In my post I would like to mention one of them called Hero (click to watch!) where the producers touched a very problematic issue. In the clip you can see a group of men who are abusing an Omnic which is lying on the ground, scared, not being able to defend himself. The men suddenly notice a little girl and tell her to join them to hit the poor robot. Seeing how terrified the Omnic is the girl hesitates and says she will not do it while the men shouting at her repeating that it's just a machine, it doesn't have feelings. In my opinion this scene is incredibly important, it poses a question: Is having feelings only the trait of humans? Do the robots, the artificial intelligence, the work of human's hands, has no right to feel pain, to love, to be scared? There are people who claim that even animals don't have them with which I highly disagree and I consider that opinion just inacceptable.

As you can see the Overwatch is not some ordinary video game. It really has an amazing plot, great characters with interesting personalities and origins and that it touchs very problematic questions that maybe in the future will be debated by people around the world. So go and check the game if you have not done it yet! You will not regret it, trust me! It's all for today, see ya in the next post! Bye!:)

One of my biggest weeknesses

Hi my dear readers!:)

So today's subject is the most alluring man's body parts! Before you start pointing at one of my old posts - do not worry, as far as I remember it was like a 6 phrase paragraph praising the attractivness of deep male voices and in this post I would love to widen the list of male body parts which I consider highly appealing:) The first one is laugh (not really a body part but I couldn't not mention it here). The pleasant sound of a nice, warm male chuckle that makes your heart melt and your cheeks turn to soft pink, the sweet vibration that prompt the butterflies in your stomach to fly. In my opinion it's simply amazing. And when the one that laughs is the man you have a crush on - it is such an enjoyable experience:)) Or those moments of intimacy interrupted by soft chuckles of your beloved that puts a broad smile on your face - it is just beautiful!:) Really worth remembering!:)
Oh right so next body part will be hands. I always pay attention to them and I guess the reason why I do it is because they are highly associated with touch, an act of intimacy. I like when a man have nice nails that are not like bitten and I also look attentively at the skin around them. Sometimes I wonder why it is so important to me and I guess that my brain perceives it as a sign that a man really takes care of his body but it is still a big mystery to me. I must admit that I've seen only a few men whose hands were so unbelievably nice that I couldn't stop staring at them (it's so weird isn't it?;).
So the last body part is hair. I don't really care about its colour but I pay attention to its length and condition. I like longer hair which are loose freely or tamed in a nice-looking bun:) I am not going to say anything about facial hair since it is really hard for me to decide if I like it or not. Sometimes I like beards and sometimes I don't, I guess it depends on a man, I mean if it fits him or not.

So that would be all for today, I hope I did not make you bored and you liked the post:)) If you want to share your opinion don't hesitate and comment! See ya next time! Bye!:)
