The other side of commercials

Hi guys!:)
Today's post is going to be about advertisements. The first, the most elementary question is who among us likes when a commercial suddenly pops out on the screen interrupting the movie we are currently watching or when it appears out of the blue while we are reading something on a website? I guess nobody. Advertisements seem to be the biggest scourge of our times and a real plague in the Internet, you can come across them practically everywhere. However, there are commercials which, believe me or not, can capture your heart by the message they are carring. Those type of advertisements does not really promote any product but, above all, they appeal to our sensitivity or try to awake  it in us somehow. Some people may say that those commercials use this unquestioned manipulative strategy to simply grab our attention but in my opinion, it is not so obvious. Do they actually draw our attention? Yes, there is no doubt about it but in my opinion there are made to change a little bit our perception of the world or some common beliefs which are harmful towards some group of people. What I have in mind is for exemple commercials produced by Dove and Always companies, the ones people cannot see in the television. They usually present some adult women or young girls being asking questions which are made on purpose to break the stereotypes and convince the audience that being a female does not mean being weak, worse, less inteligent or that it does not determinate your position in the society, like what profession you should have or what your interests should be and that females can compete with men in everything. If you haven't seen those commercials, I really recommend you to check them out, they are worth spending time! Now, I would also like to make a short comment on the polish, christmas advertisement made by Allegro which moved the hearts of the people all around the world. It is about the old man who orders online a manual of english for beginners to learn the language and at the end of the commercial we find out what was the reason of him doing it. It is truly a masterpiece among the advertisements, incredibly touching and it reflects perfectly the reality we are living in. I do not want to spoil the commercial so those of you who didn't see it, can go and watch it:) It is all for today, see ya in the next post! Bye!:)

I got a faith in you babe!

Welcome in a brand new year guys!:)

I hope all of you spent this Christmas in the company of your loved ones and that the last day of 2016 went as you planned without any terrible, unexpected events. Today I would like to draw your attention to the new animated movie Sing, made by Illumination. It is pretty interesting production which really stands out from their previous ones and some of the statements said by its characters can easily move the coldest of hearts. Firstly, the animation is really pretty, the utilisation of neon lights and such a wide range of colours makes a beautiful effect! Since the music plays a crucial role in the movie, it accompanies you practically all the time, building an appropriate atmosphere of the scene. Now, the most important part which is the plot. So, the main character of Sing is a koala called Buster Moon, the owner of a theater who struggles with serious finance problems. One day the hero cames up with an idea of organising a singing competition which would attract audiance, bring the theater back to life and safe it from being taken over by bank. What is really interesting is that all the animals who passed positively the audition, deal with some problems in their own personal life and they hope to resolve them. The stongest side of the movie is undoubtedly the beautifully presented relationship between Buster and Eddie which could serve as a model of how the true friendship should look like. I also remember that there was a scene where the main character told Eddie what he is really scared of in his life and immediately my eyes welled up with tears and in that moment I thought 'me too'. I am not going to tell you what were Buster's words not to spoil the movie for those who haven't seen it yet but they are willing to watch it.
To sum up, I really recommend you this movie, it is such a great production! It is worth spending time and money so go and check it! Oh! and the title of the post is the lyrics of the song called 'Faith' made by Stevie Wonder and Ariana Grande which promotes the movie! It's all for today, see ya in the next post! Bye!:)
