To become a fictional character

Last holidays my friend really affected me with her passion which is closely related to Japan so we both decided to take a part in The Festival of Japanese Culture that took place in Kraków this year. The meeting was mostly concetrated on manga, a japanese comics, that is really popular out there. It was my first time when I participated in event like that and the first time I saw Cosplay. Cosplay is a show where people are disguised as their favourite characters from mangas and present themselfes on stage with music accompaniament. The performances can be funny and entertaining or serieus and scary. I must admit I was really excited about seeing this live show. I was really shocked how carefully all the costumes were made and how much people felt into the roles they were playing. I truly enjoyed all the performances. This show really lived up to all my expectations. I had so much fun during that day. All in all, this is a highly entertaining show and I am looking forward to see it again.
I totally recommend it to all of you especially to people who are deeply interested in manga:)

The Big Hero 6!

Last friday my friend asked me and my roomate if we would like to go to the cinema with her to see The Big Hero 6. Maybe it will sound stupid but I agreed immediately even though I knew nothing about that movie. I guess I just let it to surprise me:) As I remember it well I was only informed that it was going to be an animated movie made by Disney. I must say that despite having almost 22 years old I really love watching disney's productions. So coming back to The Big Hero 6 I need to admit that the movie is wonderfully animated, it seriously can take your breath away! Honestly I think Disney has the best graphic designers and animators in the world! The plot of that movie is very gripping, the whole idea is new, something completely different than previous productions.
The main character is Hiro, a teenage boy, who is a genius (he graduated high school when he was 13 years old) and likes to participate in robots battles which are illegal and literally take place on the streets. Hiro has an older brother Tadashi, who always gets him out of the trouble. Tadashi studies at one of the best university dedicated to technology and robotics. He tries to encourage Hiro to apply for it to use his intelligence in a good way and develop his skills but his little brother always refuses. One day Tadashi cunningly takes Hiro to his university to show him his own project he has been working for months. All that changes Hiro's attitude and after few weeks he takes a part in a special event organised by university who can help him get into it. All the things that happens that day turns Hiro's life upside down in a very dramatic way. The story mainly concentrates on brotherly love which is simply beautiful and touching, it really can make you cry. In the movie you will hear a lot of funny gags too that will make you laugh out loud:) The music is also a big plus of that movie! The main song was made by Fall Out Boy, it is called 'Immortals' (click here to listen). To sum up, that movie will definitely not let you get bored, on the contrary it will exceed your expectations!

The queen among seasons

Winter. For me no other season can compare to it. It can be unpredictable and cruel but above all it's simply beautiful. I must admit I truly admire it despite all its disadventages. Most people prefers summer so when I say that winter is my favourite season I get those looks like there was something wrong with me. People are asking me 'how can you love winter it's cold during it' like NO KIDDING. No, but for real I think that's the point. The main reason I love that season is that I hate the heat that summer brings. I feel really awful when temperatures get really high, I'm not able to function properly, it truly annoys me. My mood is much better when there is a few degrees below zero. The other arguments why winter is bad are usually because it's ugly, boring, gloomy and everything seems to be dead. I disagree with those comments but maybe because I am one of the few people who really likes snow and waits for it all year. But there is also other group of people who are conviced that I love winer because I don't know how it feels like to work all day with a shovel in your hand to push the snow off a driveway. Again I am a living proof that it is not true. I come from a small town in the countryside so trust me I exactly know how it feels. I remember all those days I spent outside fighting with the snow while helping my parents push the car to get it out of the snowdrifts. Believe me that's hard and exhausting especially at 6 o'clock in the morning. Winter is stricly related to Christmas so I guess that may be also a reason why I love it so much (Christmas is my favourite part of the year as well).
Anyway I don't want to convince anyone that they should change their minds because evey person has a right to have its own opinion. My aim was to explained why I love winter so much and why its presence makes me happy. So see ya next time and leave a comment if you want! Bye:)

Cheer yourself up!

This post is going to be a one big advice for all of you who doesn't know how to scary sadness away and just cheer yourself up:))
One. Use your friends as the antidepressants. Spending time with people you truly like is the best way to overcome sorrow and smile again:) A lot of people admit that just a simple talk with the ones you trust and love does wonders!:)
Two. Appreciate the presence of your pets. Play with them, cuddle to them, talk to them! There is no doubt that this will make you happier immediately trust me! Well I guess not only your but for sure your pet too!:)
Three. Sport. The scientists have proved that doing excercises really make ourselves feel better:) It's because when we spend time actively our brain starts producing endorphins that are colloquially called 'hormones of happiness':) If you are not the sports type of a person just go for a short walk! That will do nicely:)
Four. Prepare something delicious. It can be a pie, cookies, ice creams, hot chocolate, pizza, fruit salad, whatever you want! You can use some interesting recipe or just improvise:) The only important thing is to derive great pleasure from eating:)
Five. Watch some nice movie or listen to your favourite music that could make you relax and just put you in a good mood:) It has been certified that a short nap during the day influences positively on your mood and make our brain work better and more effectively:) Thus sweet dreams!:))
I hope these few advices will be useful and help you:) See ya!:)

Mother Nature on her throne

Mother Nature is such a scary woman with incredible abilities and creativity. The best proof of that are beautiful and breathtaking scenerios she has made all over the world and natural disasters she caused that affected negatively on people's lives. In my opinion it perfectly shows that she has two sides: the dark one and the good one.
Personally I really love nature and almost everything that is related to it. I guess the reason why is because I've been living in the countryside since I was born. Now that I moved to a big city I really miss those days I could get out of a house, lay down on the grass and relax looking at the blue sky above me.
In my opinion people has become conceited and overconfident so much that they are convinced they are able to tame nature or even defeat her to realize their goals. No matters how many lessons Mother Nature has given them humans are such stubborn creatures that are seemed to not learn anything. I bet the catastrophes she is always blaming for are her way to express the anger and discontent with people's actions. I think humans should take care of nature, appreciate the things she has given to us and which we practically based our lifes on.
I hope that people will understand it someday and will do everything to protect nature. It truly needs to be defended.

Rommates at your service!

I must admit it is such a luck to have a roommate that is always willing to help you. Actually I'm so glad I have one of these! She is an amazing person, I consider her as one of my closest friends:) I usually call her using the nickname, which actually I've given her years ago:) She liked it immediately and from that day on everyone who knows her more closely uses it:) There is a lot of things I love about her like the sense of humour, that she is such a caring and kind-hearted person and that she is always willing to listen to your problems and give you an advice:) Believe me or not but I could write you a long list why I appreciate her presence so much:)
Living with someone can really change your point of view on some things, let you broaden your mind and make you be more open on new, unknow stuff. Since we shared the same room, we have discovered things about us we weren't aware of! Like for example: hobbies. My friend is such a big fan of manga (I described it in previous post) and mostly everything that is related with Japan:) The truth is she has really affected me with her love to it and now we share the same passion:)
I guess now you are all wondering if we get angry on each other or something like that. Yes we do but I think that's naturally, it would be actually weird it we didn't have some arguments from time to time. The thing that makes me happy is that we can't stay mad at ech other for too long and we can always solve the problem without yelling.
At the end I wish all of you to have someone like this by your side, it really make your life easier!:)

Japanese work of art!

Today I would love to present you a thing called manga, which I've lately fallen in love with. I must admit that it wouldn't have happend if I didn't share a flat with one of my closest friends:) She truly admires them, the endless collection of manga lying on her shelves is the best proof of it:)
Manga is a comic originally created and published in Japan. The stories that are composed of hand drawn illustrations are usually printed in black-and-white, but there are some coloured ones as well. A manga artist called in Japan 'mangaka' usually works with a group of assistants in a small studio and is assiociated with one of commercial publishing company. If a manga series become really popular, it may be animated after or during its run. The specific thing about manga is that you read it from right to left. It has also a lot of genres: action-adventure, romance, sports and games, historical drama, comedy, science-fiction and fantasy, mystery, suspense, detective, horror, sexuality, among others.
In my opinon manga is such a piece of art. The beautiful, neatly made drawings, the range of different personalities of heros and the moments and statements said by characters that can really touch you - I guess all of this will always impress me. To sum up, I highly recommend manga to anyone who isn't sceptical and likes broaden the mind:))

Books vs e-readers

E-readers are getting more and more popular these days but I am convinced that they will never replace books. In my opinion books have a soul and people are still very attached to its ordinary form. Also, the paper format is comfortable, this type of book is positively the best companion during a lond and lonely journey. A lof of people say that the smell of paper and ink is really important. The pleasant smell can put you in a good mood and it is also able to bring back some memories. The smell is something that books have and e-readers do not.
Besides, books are much more useful that e-readers. You can point out the sentences you are interested in or bend page corners to mark where you have stopped reading. The books are also much better for people's health. It is claimed that e-readers can negatively affect our eyesight. The important characteristic of the book is that when you drop it in the water it is easy to dry it but when you do the same with e-readers it is impossible to fix it on your own. The only way is to buy a new one.
In summary, in my opinion the books will never lose to e-readers. The paper pages, the smell of the ink and the magic of the traditional book cannot be replaced.

Why is it worth to have a 'furry' friend?

The answer is simple: because of lots of joy they can give you!!:) In my opinion having a pet makes peoples lifes better. I literally couldn't imagine mine without it. I guess it is because i've been raised with animals, i've got used to their presence. My pets have become to be the important and inherent part of my life, i'm just really attached to them. I am convinced that animals have a positive aura that puts you in a good mood like makes your sadness go away. I mean even the scientists have proved that having a pet influences on our health in a good way like it reduces stress and simply cheers us up:) Another thing is that there is literally nothing better than a soft fur that is so pleasant to the touch:)
Pets can seriously become our best friends. They are patient, loving, caring, they don't juge and they are always willing to listen. Honestly the thing that makes a huge impress on me is that no matter how much you hurt them they always come back, ready to forgive you.
The worst part of having a pet is the thought that someday they will be gone. Those kind of goodbyes are the hardest ones. In moments like that i am always surprised how much a human is able to attach to them and he doesn't even notice it.
To sum up, animals are amazing creatures:) In spite of all negatives the sceptics could enumerate about having a pet i think it is worth to be surrounded by them. They really can change your life for the better:))

In honour of sad music

I think i am one of those people who truly appraciates sad music more than any other type of music. I remember the day my bestie noticed it she was a little bit confused and said it didn't match at all to a person who is almost always so cheerful and smiley. I guess it would still be really problematic for me to give a reasonable answer to the question how is that possible... but it is really that unusual?
I am also that person who doesn't force to cheer itself up when something bad happens or when is just sad or depressed. In those kind of moments my brain and the whole organism needs to be finished off, my eyes need to cry out all of the problems and bad emotions to bring back the peace. Sad music truly helps me in this, makes me throw out all of the painful feelings and then let me feel much better on the next day. But it is not the only reason why i adore sad music. I always admire the power it has, the power of making people burst into tears or bringing back some old memories.
The other type of music i love is the one that appears in movies. I guess it wouldn't be a shock if i said that mostly it is a sad music;)
This type of music, sad and touching, truly helps me recover from a bad day, relax me and it just pleasant for my ear:)) At the end i would love to give you a link to one of my fav song < click >

Ōkami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki

Today I'm gonna present you a movie that me and my roommate have come across on the internet lately :) Wolf Children is a 2012 japanese animated movie directed by Mamoru Hosoda. The main character Hana is an intelligent and pretty nineteen-year-old college student who one day meets a young mysterious man Ookami that rarely appears on her classes. The two of them fall in love immediately. After a while the man decides to reveal his true identity to Hana: he turns out to be a werewolf, the only surviving descendant of the extinct Japanese Wolf. The secret doesn't scare her away, on the contrary she appraciates how much Ookami trusts her and promises to stay with him because of the real love that connects them. A couple of months later Hana becomes pregnant. Their daughter, Yuki ('Snow'), is born at home on a snowy day. Her younger brother, Ame ('Rain'), is born a year after her on a rainy day. Not long after Ame's birth Hana's lycantrophic boyfriend dies in an accident while hunting to feed his offspring. Although devastated by the loss of her beloved, Hana doesn't give up and resolves to raise their wolf-children on her own.
Honestly i really enjoyed this movie. Hana's struggle as a lonely mother of two unusual children, her sacrifice and incredible strength in spite of all the problems she has to deal with is truly touching. The sceneries enchant by its beauty and the sad music really completes the movie:)) In my opinion it's really worth to watch:))
